THAI Cargo Receives National Safety Award 2006

Public Company Limited’s Cargo and Mail Commercial
Department has received the National Safety Award 2006 from
the Department of Labor Welfare and Protection, under the
Ministry of Labor, in recognition of excellence in maintaining
high quality standards in the areas of safety, hygiene,
and work environment.
Mr. Chanchai Singtoroj, Managing Director
of THAI Cargo and Mail Commercial, said that the THAI is
proud to receive the auspicious National Safety Award 2006.
Mr. Singtoroj said that THAI Cargo and Mail Commercial has
continually stressed the importance on maintaining high
safety, hygiene, and work environment standards, placing
safety concerns on the equivalent levels of importance as
business operations. THAI Cargo and Mail Commercial has
a clear-cut safety policy, as well as a Safety, Hygiene,
and Work Environment Committee that is chaired by the Managing
Director of THAI Cargo and Mail Commercial, with committee
representation at managerial and employee levels.
Prior to receiving this year’s National
Safety Award, THAI Cargo and Mail Commercial received recognition
for two consecutive years 2004-2005 for maintaining high
safety, hygiene, and work environment standards at a provincial
level. THAI’s cargo unit achieved this year’s
National Safety Award as a result of strict adherence to
safety rules and regulations established by the Safety Audit
Department, under the Ministry of Labor. THAI employees
as well as customers’ safety and wellness in the work
environment was maintained as a result of adhering to safety
rules and regulations. In addition, cargo property was safeguarded
from unforeseen circumstances or critical situations. The
vital result of these efforts was THAI employees working
towards maintenance of the cargo unit’s safety, which
was beneficial for the company as well as its customers.
THAI Cargo and Mail Commercial’s
investment of time and efforts towards maintaining safety,
hygiene, and work environment standards has successfully
decreased the level of risk posed towards damage to property
and goods, while maintaining employee hygiene and decreasing
the risk of employee injuries in the workplace. The National
Safety Award 2006 signifies THAI Cargo and Mail Commercial’s
dedication to continually delivering quality service to
its customers and continual improvement of its services,
further enhancing cargo-related customer satisfaction.
